CARNIVORES, HERBIVORES and OMNIVORES - Eating Habits of Heterotrophic Organisms

Educational video for children to learn about heterotrophic organisms. Heterotrophs are those living beings that cannot make their own food. They must eat to obtain energy and survive. Based on their mode of nutrition, we classify heterotrophs in 3 groups: carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Carnivores feed on other heterotrophs. Herbivores mainly eat all kinds of plants, like vegetables or fruit. Omnivores eat a huge variety of foods, like meat, vegetables and plants. This means they are carnivores and also herbivores.
